Cinapse Production Intelligence is an optional, AI-assisted way to get a fast first pass at your script breakdowns when you import a screenplay. It is entirely opt-in, your script is encrypted and never used to train any AI model, and you can keep using Cinapse's standard script parsers instead if you prefer. Below is exactly what it does and how your data is handled.
What it does
When you have read the script and you are trying to size a production, the first real question is usually "how many days do we actually need?" Production Intelligence helps you get to that big picture quickly. When you opt in, it:
- identifies elements in each scene, such as cast, props, costumes, special effects, stunts, safety considerations, and choreography,
- builds your breakdowns in continuity order (the order scenes appear in the script), and
- writes a short synopsis for each scene.
It shows its suggestions alongside the original script so you decide what to keep. It is a starting point, not a finished schedule: it does not board your shooting days, and it is not a substitute for an assistant director reading the script and thinking through how the show should really be scheduled. Think of it as Draft 1 of your breakdowns, done fast, so you can start sizing the shoot.
Terms: a breakdown is the list of everything a scene needs (cast, props, and so on). Continuity order means script order, not shooting order.
How to turn it on
Production Intelligence is an opt-in step when you import a script from PDF or Final Draft. When you start an import, choose to use Production Intelligence. If you don't choose it, nothing is sent for AI analysis and your import runs the standard way.
What if I don't want to use AI?
You don't have to. Production Intelligence is completely optional. If you skip it, Cinapse imports your script using our algorithmic, deterministic, client-side script parsers for PDF and Final Draft, the same parsing Cinapse has always used, which runs in your browser and does not send your script out for AI analysis. You can also import from Scriptation. Nothing about your normal import changes unless you opt in.
Is my script kept private?
Yes. Here is how your data is handled when you opt in:
- Powered by Anthropic under an Enterprise Agreement. Production Intelligence uses Anthropic's AI models through Cinapse's Enterprise account.
- Your script is never used to train AI. Under that agreement, Anthropic is contractually prohibited from training its models on Cinapse data. No training happens on your script, ever.
- Your script is encrypted in transit. It is encrypted when it is sent for processing.
- It's always opt-in. AI analysis only happens when you choose it for a specific import. If you never opt in, your script is never sent for AI analysis.
This is different from uploading your script into a personal or consumer AI account (a free or personal Claude or ChatGPT account), where your content can be used to improve the provider's models. With Cinapse's Enterprise Agreement, that does not happen.
Availability
Production Intelligence is available now in beta. It will keep improving over time, with more capabilities to come.
