At Cinapse, we take the security of your account seriously, which is why we offer Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) to provide an extra layer of protection. With 2FA enabled, you'll secure your account with both your password and a second verification step, making it much harder for unauthorized users to gain access.
What is Two-Factor Authentication?
Two-Factor Authentication requires you to verify your identity through two methods:
- Something you know: Your password.
- Something you have: A one-time verification code generated by an authentication app or sent to your device.
Even if someone gains access to your password, they won’t be able to access your account without the second authentication factor.
How to Enable 2FA
- Log into Your Account: Access your Cinapse account settings.
- Navigate to Security Settings: Under the “Account” section, find the Security tab.
- Enable 2FA: Click on Enable Two-Factor Authentication.
- SMS Verification: Enter your phone number to receive verification codes via text message.
- Verify: Enter the one-time code generated by your chosen method to complete the setup.
How 2FA Works
Once 2FA is enabled:
- Each time you log in, after entering your password, you'll be prompted to provide a one-time verification code.
- The code will be sent to your registered device via SMS.
