What are Private Stripboards, and how do I use them?

Work on a stripboard privately (solo or with a few invited teammates) on the Studio plan. Here's how to create one and control who can see it.

A private stripboard lets you work on a board privately (just you, or a small group of teammates you specifically invite) instead of the whole production seeing it. It's ideal for building an alternate or what-if schedule, or drafting a board before you're ready to share it.

Private stripboards are available on the Studio plan, and there's no limit on how many you can create.

Create a private stripboard

You need to be an Editor (or Owner) to create one.

  1. Create a new stripboard.
  1. In the create-board modal, toggle on Private.

That's it: the board is now private to you until you invite others.

Control who can see it

By default, only you can see a private stripboard. To give specific people access:

  1. Open the Stripboard Manager.
  1. Right-click the private board.
  1. Click Manage access.
  1. Choose who can see, work on, and interact with that stripboard.

Everyone you add can collaborate on the private board in real time, just like a regular board, but it stays hidden from anyone you haven't invited.
