Building your stripboard
To add your first Strip to the Board, either click the “Add strip” Button in the middle of the screen or select the plus sign button in the Stripboard Panel header.
Then, input the scene’s information on the breakdown sheet (link to article).
To rearrange strips, simply click, drag, and drop to the desired order. You can also cut and paste individual or groups of strips to move them.
To add a Day Break, select the “calendar +” button in the Stripboard Panel Header, to the right of the plus sign. For more information on Day break editing and design go to he Day Breaks article (link to article)
To add a Text Banner, select the “T” button in the Stripboard Panel Header to the right of the calendar icon. A window appears allowing you to type in the text, with the option to include an estimated time (for company moves, lunches, change overs, etc). Banner text size, alignment, and color can be edited in this window, as well as the banner color.
Sorting
To sort strips, select the icon with arrows running up and down on the top right of the stripboard panel. Within the sort window, select all strips or only unscheduled strips. Then, add a sorting condition in the search box. Select the condition, and choose ascending or descending order. To remove a condition, select the trash can icon to the right of the condition.
Searching
To search the Stripboard and Breakdown Sheets, use the search bar at the top right of the Stripboard Panel Header. You are able to search for any built-in strip information (Scene, Episode, Set, etc) or individual elements (a cast member, prop, etc).
Multi-Select
Multiple strips can be selected by holding shift while clicking the first and last strip in your desired range. To select multiple strips that are not consecutive, simple hold down CNTL / CMD and click on each strip.
Right-clicking while multiple strips are selected brings up the options copy, cut, paste, move to boneyard or unscheduled, and create report based on only the selected strips.
